A man in his early 20s, identified as Manish from Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, scaled the wall and entered the premises Parliament Annexe building in New Delhi around 2:45 PM on August 16. He was quickly apprehended by the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel and handed over to the Delhi Police. But it was considered a significant security lapse at the Parliament House. The man appeared to be mentally unsound and could not provide coherent information during questioning. Fortunately, nothing incriminating was found on him.

The intruder managed to scale the wall, indicating a potential weakness in the perimeter security measures. There might have been gaps in the surveillance system that allowed the intruder to go unnoticed until he was inside the premises. Although the intruder was apprehended quickly, the initial breach suggests that the response time could be improved to prevent such incidents from occurring in the first place. Authorities are likely to review and strengthen these aspects to prevent future breaches.
