Hyderabad Police have taken swift action against bikers performing dangerous bike stunts after a video circulated on social media, causing public concern over road safety. The video, uploaded multiple times on “X” (formerly Twitter) handles on November 3, 2024, showed a biker performing stunts with firecrackers, triggering fear among the public.

Upon investigation, it was discovered that the video was not recent. The stunt was originally performed last year by Shameer, a resident of Ramanthapur, Hyderabad. The video was first uploaded by an Instagram account Wonders Sports Handler, and later re-posted this year by Shabaz, using his Instagram ID mdshabazkhaan46, after downloading it from the original account.

Authorities have registered a case against the individuals involved, and the vehicle used for the stunt has been seized. The police have clarified that claims by some social media users portraying the stunt as a recent act performed during Diwali are false and amount to spreading malicious fake news intended to create fear among the public.

Hyderabad Police are actively working to prevent such illegal bike stunts and racing activities, particularly in the IT hub area. As of November 4, 2024, a total of 15 cases have been registered, and 203 bikes and 3 cars have been seized. The individuals involved in these stunts are being produced before the court.
