A devastating fire broke out at a gaming zone in Rajkot, Gujarat, claiming the lives of at least 33 people and injuring many others on Saturday evening ( May 25). The fire erupted at around 5 pm at a fiber dome used for gaming activities. Several people, including children, were playing games when the fire broke out. The blaze quickly intensified, fueled by the materials within the structure. Unfortunately, the temporary structure collapsed, complicating the efforts of the fire department to control the fire.

Officials feared that the casualty count might increase as several children were present at the spot due to ongoing summer vacation and weekend activities. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, and an investigation will be carried out. The TRP gaming zone, owned by Yuvraj Singh Solanki, is now at the center of a criminal investigation. Authorities plan to register an offense for negligence and the deaths that occurred. Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel instructed the city administration to prioritize immediate rescue and relief operations for the injured.
