Tragic Bus Accident in Almora District: 30 Dead
Almora: In a devastating accident, a bus carrying passengers veered off the road and plunged into a deep gorge, leading to the tragic loss of many lives. The incident occurred in Almora district on Monday morning at around 9 a.m.
Reports suggest that there were about 40 passengers on board when the bus lost control and fell into the gorge. Sadly, 30 people have been confirmed dead in the accident, while another 10 sustained serious injuries.
Upon receiving information about the incident, local police and district administration rushed to the scene and immediately launched rescue operations. The injured passengers, who were trapped inside the bus, were safely extricated and taken to the hospital for treatment.
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed deep sorrow over the tragic accident. He shared his condolences and assured that rescue operations were underway at the accident site to ensure that all possible help was provided to the victims.
