A new sports university with world-class facilities is set to be established in Hyderabad. This initiative aims to provide top-notch infrastructure for various sports, including state-of-the-art fitness centers, indoor and outdoor sports complexes, and specialized training facilities. The Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has announced this in Telangana State Legislative Assembly on July 31. Highlighting the need for demonstrating improved performance by India, a country of 1.4 billion population in Olympics, he said the proposed university will give a significant boost to sports education and training in the region, offering students and athletes access to high-quality resources and opportunities.  He assured the house that the government would extend due support to the sports persons. Comprehensive training programs will be made available, tailored to different sports disciplines, ensuring athletes receive top-notch coaching and support.
