Visakhapatnam: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu expressed shock and disbelief after inspecting the buildings constructed atop Rushikonda Hill during the YSR Congress Party’s (YSRCP) government term, purportedly for tourism resorts.
Naidu lashed out at former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, accusing him of violating environmental norms and misusing public funds for these constructions. “The blatant disregard for environmental regulations and the misuse of public money is appalling,” Naidu stated.
He announced that the government would soon allow the public to view these constructions and called for a wide debate on the issue. “We will ensure transparency by allowing people to see these constructions for themselves. This matter deserves a thorough public discussion,” Naidu added.
The Chief Minister’s remarks have sparked a political debate, highlighting the ongoing tensions between the current and former administrations over environmental and financial accountability.
