They were all taken to Osmania Hospital for treatment. A car and six two-wheelers parked in front of the apartment were also reduced to ashes. The firemen, police, and officials of the GHMC reached the spot immediately and took up the rescue operation.
The fire tenders fought the flames for more than two hours to put out the flames. In all 21 people trapped in the apartment were safely brought out by the rescue personnel. The Deputy Commissioner of Police, Venkateshwar Rao, said that the fire broke out in an automobile garage in the ground floor of the building.
