Hyderabad: In a significant operation, officials at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (Shamshabad Airport) seized drugs worth approximately Rs 13 crores. The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) officers intercepted hydroponic marijuana being smuggled from Bangkok.The contraband was discovered during a thorough inspection of a passenger’s luggage, which raised suspicions among the airport authorities. Upon detailed examination, a large quantity of drugs was found concealed within the luggage. This major bust highlights the ongoing efforts of the DRI and airport authorities to curb drug smuggling and ensure the safety and security of the region.
