Hyderabad: Minister Konda Surekha has once again made headlines with her controversial comments. Speaking from her residence in Jubilee Hills, Surekha claimed that during the BRS regime, the statue of Telangana Talli was designed to resemble Kavitha’s face, which is why the model was changed.

Criticism of KTR- Surekha criticized former minister KTR, stating that he lacks common sense and that the BRS party is struggling to cope without power.
Opposition Leadership– She questioned how a leader who does not attend the Assembly can be the Leader of the Opposition, urging former CM KCR to come out of his farmhouse and speak.
Language and Conduct– Surekha remarked that KTR’s language is atrocious and that KCR speaks better than him.
Komatireddy Brothers- She asserted that BRS leaders have no right to speak about the Komatireddy brothers, who have a history of resigning for the state’s cause.
Political Vendetta- Surekha emphasized that they have never engaged in vindictive politics and stated that if they wanted to arrest Revanth Reddy, all BRS leaders would be in jail.

Controversy Surrounding Telangana Talli Statue

Adding fuel to the fire, BRS working president KT Rama Rao (KTR) has strongly opposed any attempts to alter the design of the Telangana Talli statue. He warned Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy against making any changes to the design, which holds sentimental and historic value for the people of Telangana. KTR emphasized that the statue, designed by KCR in 2007, should remain unchanged to preserve its cultural significance.

Conclusion

Surekha’s comments and KTR’s stance on the Telangana Talli statue have sparked a political debate, highlighting the ongoing tensions between the Congress and BRS parties. The controversy over the statue’s design adds another layer to the complex political landscape in Telangana.
