Godavari, India’s second longest river is in the spate. It is flowing above the danger level of 53 feet at the temple town of Bhadrachalam in Telangana. Some of the colonies in the low-lying areas were facing the risk of inundation. As many as 200 families were shifted to relief camps. Many of the tribal villages in the vicinity of Bhadrachalam remained cut off. The flood level at Dhowleswaram in Andhra Pradesh is also rising.
