Dantewada, October 4 ; A major encounter took place in Chhattisgarh, resulting in the deaths of 36 Maoists. The incident occurred at the Narayanpur-Dantewada border, where security forces engaged in a fierce gunfight with the Maoists.

The police had received prior information about the presence of Maoists in the Abujhmad forests, located in the Bastar region, near the Narayanpur and Dantewada district borders. Acting on this intelligence, security personnel launched a special operation in the area. Upon spotting the security forces, the Maoists opened fire, leading to a retaliatory action by the forces.
