Congress Appoints Senior Observers for Upcoming Assembly Elections in Five Poll-Bound States

New Delhi: In a strategic move ahead of the 2026 assembly polls, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge on Tuesday appointed several senior party leaders as AICC Senior Observers to oversee campaign management and coordination in poll-bound states, including Assam, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and West Bengal. Telangana’s Irrigation and Civil Supplies Minister N. Uttam Kumar Reddy has been named as one of the AICC Senior Observers for the upcoming elections in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. He will share this responsibility with veteran Congress leader Mukul Wasnik.Other key appointments include:Bhupesh Baghel and D.K. Shivakumar as senior observers for Assam (along with Bandhu Tirkey).
