Shanthamma, a 96-year-old Physics professor, is a well-respected figure from Visakhapatnam. Shanthamma also served as a Physics professor at Andhra University, and even at her advanced age, she continues to teach children.

The rise of Usha Chilukuri to such prominence through her husband’s political ascent has brought pride to her hometown and to many in Andhra Pradesh. With Telugu roots now connected to one of the highest offices in the U.S., Usha’s name is echoing across India, especially in Andhra Pradesh, where her success story is seen as a symbol of achievement and inspiration.
