Vinesh filed two appeals – one to participate in the final and another to be awarded a joint silver medal. While her first appeal was rejected, the CAS accepted her second request. Senior advocate Harish Salve is representing her during the hearing. CAS, an independent body established in 1984, resolves sports-related disputes through arbitration or mediation.
