A new sports university with world-class facilities is set to be established in Hyderabad. This initiative aims to provide top-notch infrastructure for various sports, including state-of-the-art fitness centers, indoor and outdoor sports complexes, and specialized training facilities. The Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has announced this in Telangana State Legislative Assembly on July 31. Highlighting the need for demonstrating improved performance by India, a country of 1.4 billion population in Olympics, he said the proposed university will give a significant boost to sports education and training in the region, offering students and athletes access to high-quality resources and opportunities.  He assured the house that the government would extend due support to the sports persons.
