Arvind Kejriwal, the Chief Minister of Delhi, was granted interim bail by the Supreme Court until June 1, 2024, primarily to allow him to campaign in the ongoing Lok Sabha elections. Following his release from Tihar Jail, there have been no conditions placed on his activities during the campaigning process.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has stated that Kejriwal has not resigned from his position as Chief Minister and will continue to serve in his role. If necessary, he will run the government from jail. Therefore, it is expected that Kejriwal will continue as Chief Minister after his release, at least until the interim bail period ends. After that, the situation will depend on the outcomes of any further legal proceedings and decisions made by the judiciary or the political process.

Kejriwal has appealed to the people to join him during his visit to hanuman Temple on Saturday. He said he will visit the party office before organizing a road show thus launching his election campaign for the parliamentary polls in Delhi. Speaking on the occasion he said the country is passing through a phase of dictatorship. It is the responsibility of all the 140 crore people of the country to set it free. On being released from the Jail, he thanked Lord Hanuman. He also thanked the Supreme Court and his supporters.
