Delhi police on Monday served summons to Telangana Chief Minister, A Revanth Reddy in connection with the posting of a morphed video of Amit Shah on ‘X’. He was asked to attend an inquiry along with his mobile phone on May1.
The Delhi Police team, which visited Gandhi Bhavan, headquarters of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC), served their notice to the Congress Party social media wing representatives.
An old video of Amit Shah discussing the removal of the 4 percent “unconstitutional” reservation for Muslims in Telangana was allegedly edited to falsely depict him calling for ending reservations during a recent Lok Sabha election rally.
Several social media handles, including the official handles of Congress’s state units, shared it, claiming, “if the BJP government is formed again, OBC and SC/ST reservations will be abolished.”
